Brussels hotels have reported their that it was first “good weekend” after the downturn in room occupancy followed by the terror attacks in March.
The Brussels Hotel Association added that “It’s an important symbolic moment.”
The positive weekend, in which 90% of rooms were occupied, was boosted by Halloween events and exhibitions of Picasso’s sculptures at Bozar and the Guggenheim collection at ING Art Center.
The Secretary-General of Brussels Hotel Association Rodolphe Van Weyenbergh told Bruzz: “This figure is positive for the image of Brussels, but it does not yet signify that the crisis in the sector is over.”
