The Brussels fire brigade has bought 500 teddy bears to comfort children in emergency situations, reports Bruzz.
The toy bears were bought in collaboration with children’s charity Plan Belgium, according to Cécile Jodogne, the Brussels minister in charge of the fire service.
The fire brigade in Belgium does more than just fighting fires: they are the first port of call in medical emergencies. They are best-equipped to deal with urgent situations such as heart attacks.
