The Community Help Service, a lifeline for the international community in Belgium, has launched an end-of-year appeal for donations to help keep its 24/7 helpline operating.
The free and confidential 24-hour English language helpline for children, adolescents and adults is a unique service, providing callers with reliable information and emergency support since 1971.
Belgian taxpayers are eligible for a tax deduction for making a charitable donation. Online donations are possible via the King Baudouin Foundation.
US taxpayers can also make a tax-efficient donation to the CHS via the King Baudouin Foundation United States.
If you need a listening ear and confidential advice or support in English over the festive period, call CHS on 02 648 40 14. The line is open day and night, all year round.
CHS is also continually looking to recruit voluntary staff to join the organisation. It runs regular training and mentoring sessions for helpline staff.
