During the Easter holidays Autoworld will be occasionally called ‘Motorworld’: an exhibition of the most beautiful motorcycles will be held in this period.
On the mezzanine on the first floor, more than100 most beautiful legendary motorcycles can be admired.
Even though the main theme of the exhibition is the evolution of the motorcycle through several years, we also focus on Belgian vehicles which have obtained an excellent reputation to our country in the motorcycle world: Minerva, FN, Gillet, Saroléa …
The exhibition is also a special occasion for Saroléa to present its new design on April 5. This new creation will be placed near the Saroléa Atlantic Major from 1960, one of the last models of Saroléa from the sixties.
During the retrospective exhibition, several countries known for their reputation in the motor world will be set in the spotlights, e.g. England (BSA, Triumph, Norton, Ariel …), Japan (with brands like Honda (e.g. CB750) MK0), Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha…), Germany (BMW, among them the R90S) and Italy (Ducati, among them the 916 Senna).
All motorcycles will be represented in the exhibition:
The motor cross bikes – Belgium is known for its amazing world championship records in this category, like Stefan Everts, Joël Smets and Eric Geboers, The rally raid motors, of which some of them have participated in Paris-Dakar… Who still remembers the Cagiva Elefants in Lucky Strike colors? The supersport and other racing motorcycles, among them the Moto2-cycle which Esteve ‘Tito’ has won the world record last year with Marc VDS’ team in Rabat.
The ‘Café Racer’ will also be present, the cult motorcycles from the sixties that were widely famous in the streets of England and which are managing a comeback for the moment. The renewed interest for these non-heavy and fast single-seaters with their retro style, low handlebars has been recently confirmed in the autosalon of Brussels. In this case, Belgium has a leading role in the customization of this type of motorcycles. A position that we thank to Fred Krugger, Spark’s Motorcycles and MotoKouture.
