Ninth edition of the Filem’on International Children’s Film Festival Brussels.
On the program: short and feature films, in all styles and genres from all over the world.
This year, the theme is ‘color’.
Hilde Steensens, Artistic Director:
“When the autumn leaves start to get the most magnificent colors, you know it’s time for Filem’On!
The international festival for kids will be held for the 9th time this year. It will take place in a wide range of cinema’s and other public spaces from the 1st until the 8th of November. I you’re older than 2, than this is the festival for you.
There will be more than 100 movies, a lot of creative workshops, cinema concerts, a panel of teenagers who will judge the newest movies in a competition, and a lot of directors who will present their work.
This year the festival is all about color! Because of recent events, Filem’On has decided to focus on social dimensions: There will be movies about diversity in all colors and shapes. And we don’t want to ignore the negatives.
Yes, we will talk about exclusion, conflicts and war. But that’s not all: We will program some colorful and experimental animation movies, and of course some real classics.
So, Filem’On will give a bit of color to your day, or even your week!”
