CEO of a large company is the highest-paid profession in Belgium, according to an article in Het Laatste Nieuws which lists the country’s 10 best-paid jobs based on official figures from the FPS Economy.
The rest of the top five is almost entirely occupied by managers in various sectors, headed by ICT managers with an average gross monthly salary of €6,725.
The high-earning managers are followed in the top ten by statisticians, mathematicians and actuaries with €4,958 gross per month. Chemists, retail managers, electrical engineers and other engineers all earn about €4,600 a month, or well above the Belgian national average of €3,192 gross.
